verses from Psalm 46

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling.
                                                                                                                                       Selah.
God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.
The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
                                                                                         Selah
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!
The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
                                                                                      Selah

Birds and Blooms

There is a magazine called Birds and Blooms, and I thought it an appropriate title for this post. I think you'll know why when you are done looking at it!
During Carrie's violin lesson, I enjoyed taking pictures of these blossoms
and of this woodpecker that showed up! We hardly ever see woodpeckers, so I was delighted!

More birds in the top of the same tree the woodpecker was in.
We are enjoying these chicks!
There are a lot of this kind of tree in town.
This was at a place where we went to get a flat tire replaced.
I love the birds around here. This is a bluebird.
The meadowlark song is one of my favorite bird songs. We hear them a lot around here, but can't always see them. I was really happy to get this shot.
In the middle of this picture is a horned lark. It was right on the trail a little ways in front of me.
Some daffodil pictures. The second one is at the church, but the rest are ours.

Odds n' Ends

Here are just a bunch of pictures from the last few weeks . I have not been taking very many pictures of people, mostly animals and flowers. Below are some of Timmy's baby rabbits. They are much bigger now than when the picture was taken.

The little ones found a salamander.
Guess who?
Beautiful.
Tree branch against the sky.
This rooster feels on top of the world! I caught him in the middle of a crow.
If you really want to be on top of the world, jump onto the bird feeder from the trampoline like the other rooster did!
I didn't get up early enough one morning to see this lunar eclipse, but my sister did. She took this picture.
Hannah helps on a Saturday.
On Easter Sunday, we went to the Paint Mines for a walk.
We were surprised to see wildflowers already! They usually don't bloom this early in the year.
Formations
On the side of the little canyon above were more of these (we call them butter n' eggs).
The view from  a point on the trail.
These formations are more colorful.
A cluster of "bluebells".
More formations. This is an amazing place.
Horses grazing in a pasture nearby.
Along our little trail that we like to walk along, some flowers are starting to grow.

We think these are called "Pascal's flowers".
If you like creepy crawly things, you might like this picture. It is a big anthill crawling with red ants!
A close-up of some of the critters.
We are enjoying spring around here!
