December 14th was a special day for our cousins Amaris and Natasha, as they graduated from a two-year LPN program at a local nursing school.
Sam, Carrie, Rose and I surprised them, flying in the day before the graduation. Natasha's dad, Uncle Fain, picked us up from the airport. He and one other uncle, plus our two aunts, were the only ones who knew we were coming. We girls had a hard time containing our suspense as we drove to Uncle Fain's house. We even had to pull over and wait a few agonizing minutes to be sure that all the girls would be at the house when we got there. When we finally walked in, we were a little disappointed that nobody screamed or fainted! They just sat there and looked at us like they couldn't believe their eyes! Needless to say, it was a BIG surprise for everyone! It was so special to get to be there for this important event!
This is the graduation announcement they had sent out.

Aunt Iva's family arrived the next day. We surprised them too! Some of us girls went with Amaris and Natasha early.

Several people made comments. I think one of these men is the president, but I'm not sure which one it is!

Family pictures! Natasha and her family
Amaris and her family. Sorry the pictures aren't the best. There wasn't much time to take pictures since others were waiting their turn. I was on the sidelines trying to grab quick snaps while the real photographers quickly took some nice pictures.

After the ceremony, friends and family gathered at Uncle Elon's house for refreshments, and got more pictures! This is Natasha and Amaris with their sisters. Pearl on the left is Amaris's sister, and Candace in the middle with the pink is Natasha's sister.

We so enjoyed getting to be with everyone for a few days! Both Natasha and Amaris passed the state board exams, which are taken after graduation. So they are official LPNs now!
